Water Wisteria (Hygrophila difformis)

Brighten your aquarium with Water Wisteria, one of the most popular and versatile aquarium plants available. Known for its vibrant green, fern-like leaves and fast growth, this plant brings instant life and contrast to any aquascape. Each bunch includes 3-4 healthy stems that can be planted in the substrate or used as floating cover for fry and shrimp.

Water Wisteria adapts easily to a wide range of aquarium conditions and is ideal for beginners or seasoned hobbyists looking to create a lush, dynamic environment. It grows quickly under moderate to high lighting and helps keep your water clean by absorbing excess nutrients that contribute to algae growth.

Care Guidelines:

  • Lighting: Medium to high

  • Placement: Midground or background

  • Temperature: 68-82°F

  • pH Range: 6.5-7.5

  • Growth Rate: Fast

  • Propagation: Cuttings

Important Note:
It’s normal for Water Wisteria to experience minor leaf melt or leaf shape changes when first introduced to a new tank. This is part of its adjustment process. Trim away any affected leaves and new, healthy growth will quickly emerge from the stem nodes.

Why Choose Water Wisteria:

  • Fast-growing and beginner-friendly

  • Helps reduce algae and improve water quality

  • Can be grown rooted or floating

  • Provides excellent cover for fish and shrimp

Includes: 3-4 individual Water Wisteria stems per bunch. Plant directly into aquarium substrate or float freely for natural movement and oxygenation.
